Cyber Dattak 2024 Claims Survey
In 2024, cybersecurity remained a major concern. While cyber incidents experienced more moderate growth(+3% vs. +34% in 2023), a resurgence at the end of the year calls for vigilance. The rise of AI is transforming the threat landscape, facilitating the industrialization and automation of attacks such as phishing. As a result, non-intrusive fraud is on the rise, and now accounts for 37% of claims managed by Dattak.
In our 2024 claims study, we analyze the main trends:
- 4.7%: annual frequency of Dattak claims, with a marked increase between H1 (3.9%) and H2 (5.3%), illustrating a surge in attacks at the end of the year. 65% of claims occurred in the second half of the year.
- AI makes attacks more targeted, more credible and harder to detect.
- RIB fraud: still the #1 threat nationwide, but at Dattak, awareness-raising efforts are helping to contain its impact - website compromise is becoming the leading cause of claims.
