Lise Charmel, a Lyon-based lingerie manufacturer and one of France's leading producers of luxury underwear and lingerie, was the victim of a ransomware cyberattack in November 2019.
This French company was going through a major crisis at the time. Despite a system considered robust, it was unable to withstand the cybercriminals' onslaught.
As a result, the entire organization - from administrative offices to warehouses to points of sale - had to pause operations for almost three weeks.
The financial impact of this cyberattack is far from negligible. The company has been plunged into a particularly difficult period, affecting every aspect of its operations: production, design, purchasing, logistics... This is a crisis that will undoubtedly leave lasting traces.
Total losses are estimated at close to 10 million euros.
The return to production has been very slow, and the delays are immense.
#### Two years later...
Unfortunately, two years later, Lise Charmel has not recovered this loss. They have not reached an agreement with their insurer.
Instead, the company went into receivership.
